We have just finished designing and testing these rock sliders for the hardcore four wheel driver.
We have designed them on my personal car to be tougher than the rest.
The brackets are all laser cut 8mm mild steel, with gussets to brace everything that will be holding the weight. Nuts have been welded to the drivers side to make fitment a lot easier behind the lines running along the inside of the chassis rail. The front bracket is 3mm heavy wall square tube with the end capped for strength and to stop the mud getting in, with 2 mounting holes to stop the front end bending at all.
The base tube runs directly under the factory body join and is 2" 3mm heavy wall square tube, the square tube is much better at carrying the weight and does not dent in as easy as the round tube.
We have all the notching in the joining pipes laser cut for consistency so we can guarantee a perfect gap for maximum strength and penetration on the welds. We also run 5 joining pipes for added strength.
The outer pipe is 2" 3mm heavy wall pipe, with the end angle cut to blend in nicely with the original body flares.
All components are professionally laser cut. These rock sliders are made on a jig for consistency and a perfect fit every time.
Our rock sliders are very easy to fit with only 2 holes needing to be drilled on each side to be mounted, we have pre-drilled all of our mounts so you just have to put your drill through our holes and use them as a guide.
As you will see by the pictures they are mainly a rock slider and not really a step, we have kept them in closer than normal so you don't get hung up on them when 4WDing. They do come out just far enough to get a foot on if you need to use them as a step.
These sliders are way over engineered as they were designed for my own use and I have built them to take a bashing and still last forever, and I have given them a bashing and they do last.
All our rock sliders are supplied powder coated BLACK. We get them professionally sand blasted and powder coated so you know the coating will last. They look fantastic and the powder coat is very durable.
We are a small family run business with qualified welders who have been doing this for over 25 years now.
You are more than welcome to come to our workshop and pick them up or have a look at them or we can get a freight quote for you if you need them shipped, they are quite large and quite heavy so freight will not be cheap.
